We are happy to announce that we have quickly outgrown our new home in Furlong, PA. Renovations are underway at our current location to enhance and expand Riah Hair Studio. As many of you are aware, we relocated our salon from Southampton, PA in May of 2011. Within 6 months of our move, we have prospered far beyond our expectations. Our Furlong location started as a boutique studio with a very intimate feel and with our expansion, we will maintain intimacy while creating a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere with a very modern feel. In addition to a larger space, we will be teaming up with a well know local make up company, Smart Cosmetics of Doylestown. Riah Hair Studio, a Rage Salon, will transform back into a full service salon offering nail care, permanent make-up, facials, and waxing. We are very excited to share with you as we progress, and all construction should be complete by April 2012. As we embark on our next endeavor, we would like to extend a huge thank you to you, our clients and friends, because without you, none of this would be possible! |

Summer
2011
To our Dearest
Supporters
of Salon
Rage;
This newsletter
comes from
a deep place
in my heart
filled with
appreciation,
gratitude
and love.
When I opened
Salon Rage
on March
02 of 1998,
I truly
had no idea
how fortunate
I would
be.
From day
one at the
Redwood
Shopping
Center,
the community
not only
accepted
Salon Rage,
but it encouraged
and supported
my vision.
My vision
at that
time was
just like
the movie
“Field of
Dreams”….if
I build
it they
will come.
And came
you did.
So much
that three
years later,
while I
was expecting
my daughter,
we had outgrown
our space
at the Redwood
Shopping
Center location.
For those
of you that
know me
really well,
you might
say that
I couldn’t
change it
or move
stuff around
anymore,
therefore
I had to
find another
space as
I love to
rearrange.
On September
23, 2002
Salon Rage
opened the
new location
at the old
landmark
Painters
Nest.
From the
front door
to the back
we gutted
the entire
inside and
built a
salon so
beautiful
and unique
that the
business
grew even
larger immediately.
We went
from a team
of 15 to
50 overnight.
My attitude
was then,
and is now,
that if
we can educate
ourselves
and educate
others,
while providing
great services
to the community,
we would
continue
to be successful.
Eleven years
later, I
can say
that I have
been blessed
with a loyal,
dedicated,
and artistic
team.
Many of
them are
like family
to me.
I have also
been blessed
with great
clients
and friends.
All of you
have contributed
in our success
or you wouldn’t
be receiving
this newsletter.
Whatever
your role
has been
with Salon
Rage, I
want to
thank you
with all
my heart.
Today I
want to
tell you
about my
next endeavor.
I am extremely
excited
about it.
I have decided
to relocate
Salon Rage
to a new
location
with a new
name.
Most branding
companies
would say
that you
never change
your name
after you
are established,
but as usual,
I believe
in doing
what feels
right, not
what is
said to
be right.
The new
salon will
be called
Riah Hair
Studio.
Salon Rage
-although
it is an
acronym
for Right
Attitude
and Great
Experience
does not
seem to
exemplify
who we are
to the public
that doesn’t
know what
it stands
for.
I wanted
to rename
Salon Rage
a few years
ago but
the timing
wasn’t right.
Now the
timing is
perfect.
Riah (pronounced
Rye Ah)
is my daughter’s
nickname
and ironically
spelled
in reverse
is Hair.
Riah (Riley)
and Hair
are the
two passions
in my life.
The Studio
ends the
name because
it is exactly
what Riah
Hair Studio
is.
It is an
intimate
social space
with boutique
flair.
We are open
in both
locations
(both Salon
Rage and
Riah Hair
Studio)
until around
May 28th,
unless
otherwise
notified.
Please make
sure to
sign up
for our
email updates
on our website
at www.salonrage.net
to stay
current
on what’s
happening.
After May
28th,
we will
be completely
relocated
to our new
Studio space
at 3488
York Road
in Furlong
in the Village
Corner.
If you are
wondering
where Furlong
is, I can
clarify.
It is about
a 15 minute
drive from
Salon Rage.
The Studio
is on the
corner of
York Road
and Edison
Furlong
Road.
A few landmark
stores in
the immediate
area are
Hendrixson’s
Furniture,
Cornerstone
Gym, Furlong
Lamp Company,
Artefacts
and the
Back to
the 50’s
hot pink
diner.
It is convenient
to Newtown,
Richboro,
New Hope,
Buckingham,
Doylestown,
Southampton
and most
of Bucks
County.
It has a
great big
parking
lot that
is super
easy to
get in and
out of.
I am hoping
that we
have the
opportunity
to continue
to see you
in our new
space and
provide
you with
the right
attitude
and great
experience
as we have
always strived
to do.
If you have
any questions
please feel
comfortable
contacting
me directly
on my cell
215-499-2209
or by email
at
donnaroggio@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
Donna Roggio

Salon Raises
Thousands
for Children
with Cancer
Just a year
ago, she
was bald
from chemotherapy,
but on this
day, four
year old
Felicia
Frugoli
not only
neared her
one year
anniversary
being cancer-free,
she also
sat atop
a booster
seat in
a salon
chair, having
her beautiful,
brown, curly
locks of
hair braided.
Felicia
is one of
many children
supported
by Kisses
for Kyle,
a non-profit
that provides
families
of children
diagnosed
with cancer
with much-needed
financial
help.
She and
her family
recently
attended
the Salon
Rage Cut-a-Thon
and Family
Fun Day,
an event
designed
to raise
awareness
and funds
for Kisses
for Kyle.
Salon Rage,
located
at 606 Second
Street Pike
in Southampton,
held the
first annual
event on
August 16th.
Stylists
donated
their time
to cut,
blow dry
and style
hair, give
mini-pedicures
and manicures,
provide
face painting,
chair massages
and waxing
- all for
about half
of the salon’s
regular
pricing.
All proceeds
benefited
Kisses for
Kyle, the
same organization
that supported
Felicia
Frugoli’s
family when
she was
diagnosed
with cancer.
Felicia
celebrates
one year
being cancer
free on
August 20th,
less than
a month
before turning
five years
old.
Her birthday
is on September
13th.
After having
her right
kidney removed,
losing a
third of
her left
kidney,
undergoing
eight months
of chemo
and eleven
rounds of
radiation,
this little
girl’s family
was happy
to support
the Salon
Rage event.
Salon Rage
owner, Donna
Straff says
little Felicia
is living
proof of
just how
important
this group
is.
“To look
at that
little girl
in that
chair, having
her hair
braided
and knowing
what she
was going
through
this time
last year,
it just
shows how
important
this foundation
is to these
families.The
salon has
had over
28 babies
born to
the team
in the last
ten years.
I can’t
imagine
the heartache
and financial
burdens
these parents
face daily,”
said Straff.
She went
on to say,
“Everyone
at Salon
Rage felt
compelled
to bring
the community
together
for this
one day,
not only
to raise
money for
this wonderful
foundation,
but also
to celebrate
togetherness
with their
loved ones.”
The event
raised over
$3,000 for
the Kisses
for Kyle
Foundation,
which
is named
for Kyle
Snyder,
who was
diagnosed
with Acute
Lymphoblastic
Leukemia
just before
his second
birthday.
Kyle lost
his battle
to Leukemia
on October
15th, 1998
at just
two years
and seven
months of
age.
Kyle’s family
began the
Kisses for
Kyle Foundation
to assist
families
of children
diagnosed
with cancer
in Southeastern
Pennsylvania,
New Jersey
and Delaware.
The foundation
covers expenses
families
struggle
with during
the course
of their
children’s
illness.
Many of
the requests
fulfilled
are often
to help
cover the
cost of
rent or
mortgage
payments,
gas, electric
and oil
bills, transportation
and telephone
services.
The foundation
also helps
with funeral
costs and
other financial
struggles.
It is the
mission
of Kisses
for Kyle
to alleviate
any added
stress and
to give
families
of children
diagnosed
with cancer
some peace
of mind.
