Terms of service

Effective 2026-07-29. Plain-English terms for a small tool.

The deal

  • Submitters are free. People who only publish work into a hosted workspace do not need a paid seat.
  • Approver seats: $49/month per person who reviews and decides. Billed by Stripe. A second approver in the same workspace is another seat. Cancel anytime from your dashboard; you keep access through the period you paid for.
  • Trial: 7 days free where offered. A card is required to start the trial, but nothing is charged during it — the first charge falls on day 8. Cancel any time inside the trial and you are never charged.
  • Storage: hosted workspaces use live-media quotas. Starter includes 2 GB of live media and 30-day post-review media retention. Higher storage tiers are available when you need them. Swipes are never metered.
  • Archive add-on: +$9/month per workspace turns off the 30-day media purge for that workspace. Reviewed media stays while the add-on is active and still counts against the workspace quota. After full cancel, media follows normal cleanup after billing grace; verdicts stay.
  • Local mode still works for solo review on your machines under a license grant. Don't share license keys.
  • We may update the software and these terms; material changes get an email before they bite.

Your stuff

  • Your content stays yours. We claim no rights to sell or reuse it.
  • Local mode: decks, media, notes, and verdicts stay on your machine. We do not receive them.
  • Hosted workspaces: you upload media and notes so your team can review them on our host. We store that data only to run the product for you. Media is purged 30 days after a deck is fully reviewed unless the archive add-on is on. Verdicts are kept so history survives.
  • The deck and results formats are open; your data is plain JSON, usable with or without us.

Fair play

  • Don't attempt to bypass license or access checks, resell access, or use the service to break the law.
  • We can suspend accounts that abuse the service or the payment system; if we do it wrongly, write in and a human will fix it.

Content people send you

Riah Swipe is a pipe. You and the people you invite decide what goes through it, and a submit link lets someone send work in without an account. So this part matters.

  • Whoever uploads something is responsible for it — that it's legal, that they have the rights to it, and that everyone shown in it agreed to be. If you hand out a submit link, you are responsible for who you give it to and for what arrives through it.
  • We don't pre-screen, and we're not obliged to. Uploads are not reviewed, approved, or endorsed by us before or after they land. We take no responsibility for content you or your submitters put into a workspace, and we make no promise about it being accurate, lawful, or fit for anything.
  • Never upload: sexual content involving a minor; intimate images of anyone who didn't consent to them being shared; anything illegal to possess or distribute; malware; content that infringes someone else's rights; or material used to harass or threaten a person.
  • Sexual content involving minors is reported, not just removed. We preserve what the law requires and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement. There is no warning and no appeal.
  • We can remove anything and suspend anyone that breaks these rules, at our discretion, without notice — including on a credible report from someone else.
  • See something wrong? Email abuse@riahstudio.com with the workspace and a link. Rights-holder complaints go to the same address and we act on valid ones.
  • If content you or your submitters uploaded costs us, you cover it — claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from that content or from how you used the service. This is the part that keeps a small studio from being destroyed by something a stranger uploaded through a link you handed out.

Honesty about limits

  • The software is provided as-is; to the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months.
  • That cap covers content too. To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for content uploaded by you, your team, or anyone using a submit link — including anything lost, leaked, or wrongly shared by someone you gave access to.
  • If billing breaks on our side, we err in your favor.

Refunds

The trial exists so you never pay for something you haven't used. Charged and unhappy anyway? Email within 14 days and we'll refund the month, no interrogation.
